What Matters Most

A walkway that heaves or settles unevenly is a trip hazard, not just a cosmetic issue. Getting the base right under a narrow slab matters just as much as it does on a wide driveway.

Small concrete work still needs the same fundamentals as a large pour — base compaction, correct slope, and proper joints — and forty years of flatwork means those fundamentals don't get skipped because the job is small.

Walkways & Sidewalks FAQs

Can a walkway be poured to match an existing driveway or patio?

Yes — matching finish, color, and joint pattern to existing concrete on the property is common and part of the planning conversation.

How wide should a walkway be?

It depends on the use — a standard entry walkway and an ADA-compliant path have different width requirements, which gets sorted out before forming begins.
