Redding
Walkways and Side Approaches

The Challenge
Adding concrete to a house that's already finished is a different problem than pouring a new one. The new work has to meet what's already there, drain the way the yard already drains, and go in without tearing up the landscaping around it.
The Approach
- 01
Matched
New work set to the height and line of the existing concrete, so the joint between old and new sits flat.
- 02
Prepared
Old sections cut out where needed, then a compacted base built back up.
- 03
Formed
Forms run to the existing edges and around what stays — planters, boxes, utility lids.
- 04
Poured
Poured in sections sized to the run.
- 05
Finished
Broom finish for grip underfoot, joints placed to line up with what's already there.
The Result
New concrete that doesn't announce itself.
